Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make an appointment and do I need a referral?

No. You don’t need a referral to make an appointment. However, if you would like to access the Medicare rebate you will need a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP. To make an appointment simply phone (08) 9374 2265 or email admin@deliahcassidypsychology.com and we will get back to you with a suitable time.

What can I expect in my first appointment?

In your first appointment we will discuss aspects of the services such as confidentially. We will also discuss your reasons for attending therapy and what you aim to achieve. As therapy is a very personal experience it is also important that you feel comfortable, and find someone that you feel at ease with, so the initial session is also for you to decide whether I am the right fit for you.

How long do sessions last and what is the cost?

Sessions last 50 minutes and cost $275. This is below the Australian Psychological Society’s National Suggested Fees which is $311 for 45-60 minutes. With access to Medicare benefits you can claim up to $141.85 per session. Some Private Health Insurers can pay up to 70% of your fee.
